
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are as follows:
Medical/Surgical patients (2 East & 3 East): 12 Noon until 8:30pm
Newborns and mothers (family only): 1pm until 8:30pm
Intensive Care Unit: 7am until 7pm
Visits are restricted to 10 minutes every hour. No children under 12
years of age. Two family members per visit, immediate family only. There
may be special consideration for visitation at the charge nurse’s
discretion for unusual circumstances.
Behavioral Health Unit: Mon - Fri - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm; Sat/Sun - 2:30 pm
- 4:00 pm & 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Two family members per visit.
Please remember that visitors who are demonstrating signs of illness are
asked not to visit patients
in the hospital.
Smoking
Beaufort County Hospital is proud to offer a smoke and tobacco-free
campus to patients and staff. This policy is designed to provide all
patients and staff with a safe and comfortable environment while
promoting healthy lifestyles throughout our community. This policy
prohibits the use of any tobacco products on the campus of both BCH and
its subsidiaries, including parking lots and personal vehicles. Tobacco
products include, but are not limited to; cigarettes, cigars, chewing
tobacco, and pipe smoking. LifeStyles Medical Fitness Center offers
smoking cessation classes to assist members of the community who desire

Dining
Visitors are invited to eat in the hospital cafeteria or the
snack bar. Dining services accept cash only; however
there is an ATM machine in the vending area near the main elevator.
Hospital dining services currently operate
on the following schedule:

Breakfast - 6:30 am until 8:15 am
Lunch - 11:30 am until 1:15 pm
Dinner - 5:15 pm until 6:45 pm (Exception - Fridays 5 pm until 6:45 pm)
Snack Bar Hours – 6:00 am until 1:00 am daily
Vending
machines are available 24 hours a day in the first floor vending area,
located across from the main elevator.
Visitors and patients are discouraged from bringing food from home;
please check with a nurse before doing so.
